Baptism

Baptism is the outward expression of a changed heart—a declaration of love for Jesus. It’s also a symbol of our desire to stop living for ourselves and start living life for God.

Impact on nations among us:

Over 800 individuals were touched through the programs we led or participated in to serve the nations among us. This includes foreign-born individuals – such as refugees, immigrants, and international students. It also includes individuals from non-majority cultures, such as our Navajo and Hopi neighbors. Over $100,000 given through partnership with 8 organizations and through the efforts of Central Christian Church.

  • Navajo and Hopi nations Elder Support Project, providing multiple tons of food and water to vulnerable elderly Native Americans
  • Refugee resettlement assistance
  • Welcome to America Project serving days to outfit apartments for newly-arrived refugees
  • Citizenship classes for refugees reaching their 5th year in the U.S.
  • Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
  • After-school homework tutoring for refugee children
  • Headsets for Title 1 Elementary schools to assist students with on-line learning during COVID
  • Advocacy between schools and non-English speaking households to transition school-aged children to on-line learning
  • Assisting refugees with creating income by sewing, marketing, and selling thousands of face masks
  • International student welcoming activities (hikes, BBQs, holiday parties)
  • Providing community and support for international students who were unable to return to their families during COVID travel restrictions
  • Serve and support local Welcoming Centers for asylum seekers

Impact on nations abroad:

Over $400,000 given to 51 individuals and partner organizations serving around the world.

This money supports overseas ministries serving refugees, providing healthcare, winterization efforts, children’s education, skills training and income development, bringing tourism into countries, and peacemaking. Emergency donations were made towards the port explosion in Lebanon, towards flood relief efforts in Sudan, towards the bombings in Gaza, and towards COVID relief efforts in Tunisia and Egypt.

Children's

Children represent the future of our church and future followers of Jesus. We take very seriously our role in raising kids up to know and love Christ.
