Update as of August 10, 2020

We are excited to announce our return to campus at each of our Central locations! Beginning August 16, we will meet in person on Sundays at 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM for our weekend worship services. We would love for you to join us!

Please note: We are asking everyone first grade and older to wear a mask while on campus. It is necessary to bring your own. We have reduced our seating capacity in our Worship Centers, and we ask that you honor physical distancing recommendations by leaving a few chairs between yourself and those sitting around you.

Children’s ministry will be offered during all in-person services. Central Student Ministry is offered during the 10:30 AM in-person services. (Gilbert also has 9:00 AM CSM programming)

You can expect incredible worship and teaching, excellent Children’s and Students ministries and more. Safety is a high priority, and we have put numerous protocols in place. We are excited to welcome you back to our physical campuses. A few changes you’ll notice are:

  • Staff and Servant Ministers wearing masks while on campus
  • Enhanced, and frequent, cleaning and sanitization
  • Added hand sanitizer stations throughout
  • Touchless experience. Make sure you download Central’s App prior to attending.
  • Check-in for Children’s, Students, and Serving will all be done through the app.
  • No-contact communion experience to include pre-packaged cups you can grab on your way into the Worship Center

Update as of June 23, 2020

Based on much prayer and consideration, we are postponing our return to campuses for in-person weekend services. As we hold plans loosely, we continue to pray for guidance as well as seek counsel from medical professionals on the best decisions. We are anxious to get back to on-campus gatherings, but we care more about the health and well-being of our community. We invite you to continue participating in worship through our ! Thank you for understanding and for remaining a strong part of our online community. We are encouraged the church never stops being the church!

Update as of May 7, 2020

So... the current question floating around is, "When's the church going to reopen?" The problem with this question is it fails to appreciate the fact that during this pandemic the church never closed! You cannot close God's church! During the last two months, we have watched as people have come to faith, been baptized, served their neighbors, and invested their lives in the Kingdom! This is the church at its best under any situation!

The real question is, when will we move back to corporate worship in our buildings? While it is an appropriate question, it is a far more complicated question than it might appear. We have paid great attention to the wisdom and guidance of the White House, the Governor's office, and the CDC. All these have laid down guidelines based on data they have garnered. As we have processed this information, our Executive Board and Executive Staff have determined the path we will follow. We believe two crucial things must happen before we get back to corporate worship at Central.

We must be absolutely certain we can keep everyone safe (think children, the elderly, and the vulnerable).

We should open only when we know we can offer an experience up to Central's quality.

The graphic below shows our phased approach to gathering in person on our campuses, and we will follow this guide in the steps we take. Be advised we may not move at exactly the same pace as the government recommends. We may be a little behind their curve as we take the necessary steps to implement each phase.
