This trip wasn’t for pleasure or for relaxation, it was to learn about the awful truths of slavery in our country and how the effects of slavery are still being felt by our brothers and sisters of color. We talk about the value of having our eyes opened to realities of America’s past and it’s present so that perhaps we can have a hand in making its future better for all.
