The Funeral Ministry exists to offer extraordinary comfort and support to families during their time of bereavement, offering help in planning and executing a service (funeral home or church), helping with a reception, if feasible, and providing follow-up support.

Working with bereaved families is a wonderful opportunity to show Christ love and kindness to those who are experiencing one of the most difficult experiences of their life.

  • The Funeral Administrator is a staff person or volunteer who gathers the information on the deceased and handles administrative details of the funeral.
  • Funeral Service Hosts help with final set up, greeting family and guests, and tear down if necessary.
  • Funeral Reception Hosts (Receptions are not held during COVID) helps with set up, serving, and clean up at the reception.

Note: During COVID we plan social distancing for our funeral venues so seating will be restricted. For example, at our Mesa Campus chapel, we like to limit attendance to 50. We also discourage food receptions at church during COVID.
